What is Coastal Lacrosse Club?                                                                                                                               Coastal  Lacrosse Club is a non-profit  501(c)3 corporation.  We are a recreation based youth lacrosse club that plays in the Delmarva Youth Lacrosse Association (DYLA).  We are operated strictly by volunteers and all funds raised are put back directly back into the organization.

What is the Delmarva Youth Lacrosse Association (DYLA)?

The DYLA is a 501(c)3 non- profit corporation that operates as a youth recreational lacrosse league consisting of several teams throughout the Delaware and Maryland.  The current member clubs include: Coastal Lacrosse Club, Brandywine Youth Lacrosse, Cecil County Youth Lacrosse, Dover Youth Lacrosse, Kent County Youth Lacrosse, Middletown Lacrosse, Milford Lacrosse, Newark Youth Lacrosse Club, St. Edmunds Lacrosse and Wilmington Lacrosse.

Where do we play?

We play home games and practice in Berlin, MD. We travel throughout the Delmarva Peninsula and play other youth clubs in our league.

What age groups participate?

We allow children (boys and girls) from age 5-15 to participate in our lacrosse activities. Our levels of play include: Scooper level, Under 9,  Under 11, Under 13  and Under 15. The Scooper level is for 5-6 year old boys and girls new to the sport while the U9/U11/U13/U15 age levels are set by USLacrosse, the national governing body of lacrosse.

When does the season begin?

Practice begins in early March. Games begin in late March and conclude the weekend before Memorial Day with the DYLA tournament.

Where are practices held?

Coastal Lacrosse practices at several different facilities throughout northern Worcester County. We use fields on Route 611 in West Ocean City, Stephen Decatur Middle/High School, Berlin Intermediate School and the North Worcester County Athletic Complex.

When are practices?

Individual coaches set practice times and dates. Most teams practice two times per week during late afternoon and early evening hours. Practices generally run 1½- 2 hours. Practices usually do not begin before 4:30 PM and could start as late as 5:30.
